It's not tho...

And I'm a pens fan.

Fluery is average, Wilson is bottom six and Schultz is bottom pair.
I'd bet Elliot has a better season than Fluery, as he tends to do, and Hamilton is solid top four.

Again, any Hamilton trade starts with Maatta or Dumoulin.

How am I wrong? Wilson is top six and Schultz is top 4? Fluery is better than average? What are you looking at to come to these conclusions?

Dude, I usually like your posts on here but I are really off. Fluery has very little value

Wilson is too young and his sample size is too small to already determine what caliper player he is. I believe Schultz can handle a #4 defenseman role and ur biggest mistake was saying Fleury is average. I'm not gonna try to say Fleury is top-5 goalie in the league or anything, but he is better than average.

I thought up something pretty similar to this due to the recent rumors but I think the reality of the situation is that it is highly doubtful that he gets traded at this time. The only reason the Pens and other teams are "kicking tires" on him is because his value at this moment is significantly lower than it ever has been. If they were actively looking to make a deal, then this value is fair. But I doubt they are shopping him with any kind of urgency so chances are his asking price will be higher than anything Pittsburgh is willing to pay.

Yeah that's a fair deal alright. Hamilton wouldn't be traded without Maatta going the other way.

Maybe if you're drunk it's a fair deal

If Hamilton and Fleury are about equal in playing value, both average, both above average it really doesn't matter. Both make the same money. Pens add some due to Hamilton having a longer term and Fleury and the expansion issued is solved. Seems like a fair trade to me.

No. Just because Calgary is having a bad start doesn't mean they're going to instantly give up on Brian Elliot. They don't need MAF. Even if they did really desprately need a goalie, they wouldn't go to MAF. He's too inconsistent and injury-prone. The value isn't there for Calgary.

Over the last 3 seasons Elliot and MAF are the exact same goalie by the numbers but Elliot has a much team friendlier contract so he has more value. People need to not get all messed up on a bad 10 game stretch Elliot is having right now. This trade is very pro Pens.

Last 3 seasons:
Elliot- .929
MAF- .919

11 games this year:
Elliot- .882
MAF- .910

Don't be swayed by 11 games.

Elliott is not better. What has Brian Elliott accomplished in his career? He was an All-Star. Wow. I'm not here to rant how Fleuey is better, this trade isn't right in some way though. It's not great and if I'm Calgary or Pittsburgh I don't do this. Jarry and Fleury wouldn't go in the same deal as someone mentioned above.
