We mostly said he shouldnt, not that its impossible. He is setting himself up to either leave in 4 years, or get paid big in three years so its not a bad move for him

So New Jersey adds nearly $12 million in cap, Why would either Johnson or McDonagh waive for a Non-Playoff team? And it would take far more then a single 2nd round pick to move both Johnson and McDonagh.

I guessed 3x5 to stay in Tampa and 5x6.5 for offer sheet...I commend his loyalty but he left a ton of money on the table

I didn't, I said Tampa's rfa's would sign team friendly bridge deals and Sergachev has, won't be surprised if Cirelli and Cernak do the same.

Nope. I had Sergachev signing a 3 year 5 mil AAV bridge deal on my ACGM rosters. I have Cirelli at 3 years 4.5 mil AAV and Cernak 3 years 2 mil AAV.

There are about 5 teams that have the cap space available that Tampa is going to need to do a deal with. These 5 teams KNOW that they can bend Tampa over and really get away with robbery. One (maybe two) will without a question. I see lots of potential trades that make sense normally, but not in this flat cap world we're in, and Tampa having all the NTCs in their line up. BriseBois will need to be a magician to get out of this without massive pain.

Cirelli goes for a dance

McDonagh goes for peanuts.

No one wants Johnson or Gourde of those half dozen teams with cap space.
Killorn sure but Tampa values him.

I think McDonagh is more expendable than even Killorn and he will waive having been on multiple teams previously.

I also had Sergachev signing for 4.7 million AAV for 2 years months ago in my Lightning ACGM trade tiers according to Dom
