ik you're worried about Seguin's injury but not in severe circumstances, Hintz is not a first-line center. If he was playing in a strong playoffs/cup contender team, he would be 3rd line center.

There is almost no reason for DAL to do this. They want to win now and this effectively lowers their offensive output for a similar size contract.

That I totally agree but this year with Seguin hurt it's probably not the year. So this trade could work better for the future idk Ig it's kind of unfair.

I don’t think this ever makes sense unless DAL can’t resign him at the end of his bridge. Hintz is trending up and Bennett is a grinder, you don’t trade those guys 1 for 1.

I agree 100% playoffs but no way cup, the epidemic playoffs had a lot of factors that won't happen again.

Are you sure about that, if we make the playoffs, than a whole other version off Seguin comes in and healthy and does have a stellar performance Dallas is cup contending...

But if he's not I'll pray for Guri to go god mode

Easy no from DAL's perspective. This trade is equivalent of CGY swapping Välimäki to Honka. I don't see much potential in Bennett by this point, but Hintz is still very much improving. Plus he's already better.

I'd like to have Bennett in Dallas though since with Seggs out we need a center, but there's just no point moving a better center for a worse one in their current state.

Hintz will be 2C, there is an extremely high chance that Pavelski will be playing 1C until Seguin returns
