Carolina is probably not excited to trade Bean for a journeymen goalie who was on waiver twice last year.

This is just my opinion, I'm pretty sure everyone will have a different opinion on this trade.

Buffalo gets rid of a defenseman that doesn't like it in Buffalo for a first-line sniper. The pick just evens out the value.
Carolina gets a goalie prospect after missing out on Askarov in the draft. Their defensive core is super deep, so they can afford to get rid of a defenseman who hasn't been able to develop properly. I feel like Bean will develop his game better in Winnipeg.
Winnipeg gets a top-4 defenseman as well as an NHL-ready defensive prospect. They give away a goal-scorer that is already part of their lethal offense.

That's a good point, I actually forgot that Comrie was on waivers twice last year.

Middle Pair D
Bottom Pair D
Late first

for "goal-scorer that is already part of their lethal offense"

And it's said like the offense will be fine without him and he's just filler.

Winnipeg wouldn't even look at this offer.
