No way. We have so many capable defencemen, we don't want to go wasting third round picks

No way Pateryn is coming back in MTL. If there is move with MIN it would be for Foligno

I was just picking Montreal as a contender. This threads more about viewing mn than who the tdl guys go to

ok then. None of your top three centermen are proven at their positions

I think Johansson is almost a cap dump. Not quite, but i think he’s more in the 4th round category than the 2nd and 4th category.

As is the case with most rebuilding teams, which was implied by op, not sure what to say

Unless he has a good season, can't argue there. Currently, I'd say Bonino would fetch a better return than Johansson.

To the point of the ACGM though, I don't think Beckman is in the NHL this year even after the TDL. It's more likely they grab a guy from the AHL and give him a roster spot, probably Kyle Rau based on previous call-ups?

Chaffee seems like an interesting call up if this happens, former leading scorer in NCAA. Or you could always make it Gerry time.

I agree the 2 picks is much but I’d guess Johansson will be a 50 point guy this year. Given his playoff experience, I’d wager that’s worth more than a 4th.

My thought process is if mojo is getting top line minutes with fiala or KK he'll have more points than he did in his buffalo spot and up his trade value closer to what boston gave up for him. Bonino is a very known quanity

I figure after the TDL we'll see a slew of guys taking turns on the team so Guerin can get a look at them. gerrytime, boldy, beckman, sokolov, rau, giroux. If the wild aren't in playoff positions it would make sense to run them in batches like 5 games at a time.

Your point about Johansson playing with KK, which he’ll likely do with Zuccarello out is a good one. I really think he’ll be a 50 pt guy this year.
