Blues Trade

Created by: AlliDOisBleedBlue
Team: 2020-21 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 15, 2020
Published: Dec. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Redwings have a very small chance of accomplishing anything while Larkin is on this contract. And its highly likely that he will leave via Free Agency. Blues offer 5 young prospects, four who are current NHL players. Redwings give up Larkin in his prime and a 4th line face off specialist. This Redwings team is still not a contender but probably picking another player in the top ten at the draft then next year bring in Veleno, Zadina and Raymond.

Wings pass not even close. Counter with Lindstrom, smith, Frans Nielsen and helm for tarasenko, o'reilly, parayko and 6 firsts

Yeeeah, I'm guessing the Wings won't be interested in that.

Detroit had to endure a total economic collapse and many years of their sports teams being bad recently and now you toss like something this onto them?

Nefarious

In a 2 part both sides kinda template no less like wtf

Clearly only Walman is a prospect, a meh one at that

The others have 100-300 games NHL experience (!)

Seriously what is going on here: "the long troll" or? 🧐

Again, why would he want out and why would Wings want to trade him? You have not given anything but 3rd and 4th liners who will not be of any real use to Wings. Not one of those players will fill a 1st or 2nd line center position and you gave no picks to fill in that position.

Larkin is no superstar, but a very good player, playing for his home team, future captain and the face of the organization. While he is better suited to be a 2nd line center, he is the only true center Wings have that is NHL ready. Again giving pieces for a Larkin and not even including a pick is ludicrous.

Your assement that they should trade him as the rebuild will out last his current deal, is not really a fair or good arguement. This is the kind of thinking that keeps clubs in a constant rebuild mode. By that logic we should also trade Mantha, Bertuzzi, Mantha and Hronek and once Seider, Veleno, Raymond start trad ethem because the goal.line has moved even further out. It is a circle that a team will never reach because you are chasing a goal that will never be attainable.

laugh laugh shakes head None of that garbage gets you Dylan Larkin, No freaking way is St Louis getting Larkin without Parayko at least being part of the deal and even more. This trade is a royal joke.

Dude you're totally delusional, There's noway Larkin is leaving his Home Town team Via free agency, He's said numerous times that he wants to spend his entire career there in Detroit. And we've tons of good core pieces coming up in the next 2-3 years to compete. You obviously don't know Yzerman well enough Detroit will be competing within the next 4 to 5 years and Larkin will still be in his late 20's.

Agreed. If it's not Parayko, then it includes Thomas and Dunn. Not sure why he thinks Larkin wants to leave once his contract is over, because that will be right around the time they are getting to be good again.

Any deal for Larkin minimally starts with Thomas and Dunn, or possibly 1 for 1 Larkin for Parayko.

Detroit isn;t trading Larkin, so it's irrelevant... but umm nah. Like I said, you overcompensated for his silliness.

This is one of the worst AGM attempts I have ever seen on this site. The value isn't even remotely close and it's irrelevant anyways, because Larkin is untouchable.
