Boston would rather have Carlo, and they need him.

Bruins decline. No top4 RD to replace Carlo after doing this trade and they're fine on the LW.

Boston has a need for Carlo. They don’t for McCann. And Carlo has way more trade value than McCann as well. You would have to upgrade if the B’s were willing to move him, which they are not.

The boston trade is pretty laughable both for value and need.

Why trade McCann? Period...

LA: McCann, 2nd for 1st - Fair
Car: McCann, 4th for Bean - Advantage Carolina, small, but advantage
Bos: McCann, 3rd for Carlo - Big advantage Pittsburgh.
Buf: McCann, 4th for Mittelstadt - Big advantage Buffalo.

To reiterate my first comment, there is zero reason, ZERO, to trade McCann. But... Pittsburgh is in "win-now" mode so they wouldn't do the LA, Carolina, or Buffalo trades as none of those help now at all, especially the Buffalo one. The only one that would actually help the Penguins is the Boston one, and Boston isn't touching that trade.

Lets trade our only young player that can skate great, has speed, has a top 2 shot on team, can play LW or C, and is about to enter his prime hockey years???

I don't mean to be a d***, but trading McCann is Not smart unless its in a package for a Top player

BTW, If Poulin can't make an under 20 yr old Team Canada, Im thinking he prob isn't ready for NHL hockey.

I agree, I hate the idea of trading McCann .... he is our only young player just entering his hockey prime....

But I also mite be biased bc I've watched him since his Jr years & actually wanted to draft him over Kappy in that draft.
