I mean, they're pretty solid with LW and C prospects and it seems like they have too many playmakers as it is. I'd be willing to add Durzi too or someone like that.

Unless it’s a first there’s no reason for ANA to even consider this, add more to that if the Kings want him

Either a prospect with similar caliber or a 1st rounder

Lundestrom was a 1st round pick. I don't see the Ducks trading him for anything less than that. I could see a positional swap for a former LA 1st rounder if the Kings think he could fit in on the left side. Kupari maybe? I don't know enough about the Ducks pipeline to know if they'd be interested in swapping a C/LW for a C/RW. I think the Kings could be interested in something like that.

The Ducks are a bit behind LA in their rebuild, so I can't imagine they'd want an older player. So it would require someone drafted in 2018-2020 or a future 1st round pick.

However, the Kings and Ducks will never be trade partners, so this idea is pretty much moot.

Would take a first rounder/equivalent + imo obviously nothing major but to trade a highly regarded prospect to our biggest rival it would be an overpay on top of his value as a first rounder.

You're funny, when is an unproven prospect ever worth a 1st rounder? I wouldn't tell someone to give me a first for Kupari lol. Nevermind.

It wouldn't take that and you're being unreasonable. I get the division rival part. However, a 21 year old roster who has yet to crack an NHL roster is not worth a 1st in any world.

I think that's a bit unfair. I'm sure if I asked you how much Sam ****emo would cost, you would say a 1st round pick (if not more), and I probably wouldn't disagree with you. ****emo and Lundestrom both have nearly identical stats in the Allsvenskan so far this season, despite the latter playing in six fewer games. ****emo was taken 27 draft spots later (50th vs 23rd) and is only 4 months younger than Lundestrom.

Again, I'm not saying that Lundestrom is worth the same as ****emo, just that asking for a 1st in exchange for Lundestrom isn't as unreasonable as you make it out to be.

I would not say ****emo is worth a 1st or even Bjornfot who I am very high on. The trade market doesn't work like that. I'd prefer to package him in a trade for a player that fills a different positional need or a 2nd round pick if we are stacked in all areas.

Fair enough. We have a different opinion on the value of prospects then. I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for a 1st round pick or prospect equivalent in exchange for ****emo or Lundestrom.

I'd do Kupari 1 for 1 for Lundestrom. They are stacked at LW and C, especially playmakers and Lundestrom might be the odd man out so I think we should try to get him. If it takes more, I'd consider it, but not a first round pick.

The unreasonable part is even thinking that LA and Anaheim would talk to each other about trading prospects. Lundestrom has a high ceiling and was a 1st round. So in exchange we’d want a pick around where we got him. Like at last 1st or earlier 2nd. I’m not saying Lundestrom is worth like 7OA. I’m saying we’d just want the same area of him

I don't think the Kings should trade a 1st for Lundestrom, especially with where they're expected to finish in the standings this coming season. However, I don't think the Ducks should trade him for less than a 1st (or prospect equivalent) either.
