And Montreal can keep up this century’s standard of no cups

that's a lot to give up for one year of Coleman.

It costs Raddysh and a 1st to dump Johnson alone when you add on Gally you need to add Foote and another 1st. Gallagher is a consistent 30 goal scorer you are not getting him for just a 1st LMAO!

The 1st and Raddysh to dump Johnson was before Kucherov got injured. Now it's a 1st and even then he's still a top 6 forward just overpaid

Tampa can't afford Gallagher and his new extension next season, They're going to be even worse next season then this season. They had better hope they can move Johnson, Palat, Gourde and Killorn next summer or they're royally screwed.

Two first round picks + for Gallagher? I don't want to trade Gallagher, but you at least have to look at that. He's 28 and realistically we could replace his production if we lost him. I would probably cry, but looking at this from an asset management perspective, I think Montreal has to accept.

Your kidding right?! Who on the team can put up 30+ goals? Who in the league can put up 30+ goals for 6.5 Mil or less? Do you realize that from 16-17 to 18-19 that Gallagher was 5th in 5 on 5 goals scored right and that was with Danault as his center imagine what he can do with Suzuki or KK as his center. There are not many players who can have that kind of production at his cap hit. Yes he is 28 which again is another reason not to trade him. It's not like he 35, he still has a minimum of 6-7 good playing years left. Asset management has nothing to do with it. When you have a player with Gallagher's production and leadership skills you don't trade them in their prime.

I like the idea of bringing in Coleman but I don't want to give up a 1st round pick for him.

I'm not going to bash Gallagher's skill because I simply can't, but don't try and discredit Danault by saying it's Gallagher who is the reason he is as good as he is. Both players are great in their own ways. I never once said Montreal should 100% do this trade no questions asked. I simply said it should be considered because two first round picks aren't something that gets traded everyday.

I wasnt trying to discredit Danault, he is an elite 2 way player but his offensive side isn't as good as Suzuki or KK's. I get what you are saying, I just don't agree with it. IMO the above offer doesn't have 2 firsts plus for Gallagher though. IMO the offer is Johnson + Raddysh + 1st to dump cap for next season and 1st for Gallagher.
