If I’m a Columbus fan I’m not happy about trading PLD but it seems like that’s the case, you get a pick and young player back, as well as a good 2nd line center and a capable top 9 forward with 3 years left.

Why does it seem the case because a bunch of rumors say he asked for a trade he has no leverage he going to sit out? Doesn’t seem like that guy to me.
If he planned on sitting out he doesn’t sign the contract. Without the contract signed he invites and offer sheet some what.

You're right it is wishful thinking, Because in reality it's not even close. Noway is Jarmo dealing a 22 year old Pierre Luc Dubois for a soon to be 28 year old Phillip Danault. Pierre Luc Dubois's best season 61 points Danaults best season 53 points plus is 5 years older. Jarmo will want either KK or Suzuki and rightfully so.

I'll give you a "10" for your name,DropMccockiner, but "0" for your trade. Habs fans think for some reason 3.4m X 3 Byron has trade value....he doesn't. Denault on his expiring contract ain't worth much.

Danault is on an expiring contract. And Poehling is a “B+” prospect at best. And Paul has little to no value in a trade. More value to just keep him in Montreal.

Just send JK and some stuff and get the kid if you want him so bad. Danault as much as you love him in Montreal isn't gonna get it done. Its JK or Suzuki.
