Effff that. Taking $6.35 mil for the next 3 years of a 34 year old dman who’d be the 3rd best LD in Anaheim, who would also handcuff you when you’re trying to resign guys like Lindholm is a pretty dumb move. With retention? Sure. Without? Nahhhh.

Backes is only owed around 2.2 M in actual money. If anything FLA would need to retain more.
