You'd at least need to give them Grubauer haha... why would ANA do this? I don't think they are that far out from contending, and Gibson is their future. They still want to at least compete, given the Shattenkirk signing. Losing Gibson is basically forfeiture

I agree with quantity over quality but you are smoking some premium kush if you think they are adding 2 top 10 in the league prospects at premium positions on ELC’s for a goalie who is coming off a career worse year and arguably has had the 2 worst years of his career. I have much respect for Gibson and he is honestly the only goalie I would consider trading Byram as part of the deal, not for long but I would consider it.

I do smoke and grow premium kush but yeah to get ANA to consider moving Gibson they would have to. Not saying I think they would and I wouldn’t add either of them if I’m COL. Asking price doesn’t equal selling price. Gibson also had terrible teams in front of him those years. Stats don’t tell the whole story and I watch every Ducks game. He has not regressed at all and I would argue he’s better in spite of the stats. With his contract he is without a doubt the most valuable goalie in the league. I know goalies don’t hold value as well in trades but two top prospects would be more than fair imo, prospects aren’t guaranteed while Gibson’s ability is. ANA has no reason to move him or even consider it and any team trying to get him would have to blow them away

Grubauer was not injured his first year in Denver and played in all 12 of the Avs playoff games. Last year sucked but injuries happen. The "injury-prone" narrative is oversold.

You aren’t getting 2 top 10 prospects for a goalie and I think Gibson has the most value in the league. It would be like ANA trading Zegras AND Drysdale they’d expect a lot more than a goalie. I was using save percentage as the measure and he has had his worst and 3rd worst seasons the last 2 years. But that’s me trying to drive the price down.

I agree COL shouldn’t do it, but the point I’m trying to make is ANA has no reason to move him unless they get completely blown away and I doubt only one of them blows them away, a better ask would be one of them and Timmins but honestly I don’t think there is a realistic package out there for Gibson, much like Price when the Habs were bad I don’t see Gibson being moved
