Broberg and Bouchard will not play with each other, both are offensive defensemen that won't be reliable on defence. Rinne will probably be done after this year. No need for Getztlaf and if Nylander was on the team he'd be in the top 6.

Bruh broberg is playing against men in Sweden, exactly the trajectory that klefbom took, broberg almost made the team prior to the play-ins, and Bouchard is on the team right now so idk what you're talking about, rinne is questionable so we'll see, getzlaf would be a great addition and fit in well, and Nylander would not touch the oilers top 6, wouldn't even be a lock to make the team lol

I agree Rinne will be 39 next year. I think Broberg translates to one hell of a defensive defence in the NHL. He’s not going to be going end to end but he will be able to carry the puck up and get back when he needs to. His foot speed is so good he can get to either side of somebody on defence. I don’t think it’s likely Edmonton will be able to sign Hamilton that would take like 8 million. I think it’s more likely they get a winger for mcdavid than putting draisaitl there. Nuge will be 7 million minimum on an 8 year term.

You fans who don't know the Hawks are funny thinking the Hawks need D men. Boqvist, Mitchell, Beaudin, Regula, (those 4 are all worth more then Larsson given their pontential) plus Carlsson, Kalynuk, all young prospects and promising NHL players. Keith, De Haan, Murphy, all better then Larson. Zadarov is a project but plays on the left.

The ONLY need the Hawks have for a defensive player/prospect is a future first line left hander; the right side is stacked with a very bright future thus Larsson has little to no value.

That all said, assuming the Hawks needed a right handed D player... even on paper this trade is bad. Larsson is simply not worth Nylander, a 3rd and 5th rounder....sorry and I recognize Nylander is a project but his upside/potential is a there especially given he's only 22 years old.

Holland won't pay nuge that much it was reported, and Hamilton probably signs for more but I could see him taking less than 8 due to the financial climate as long as it is more than 5 year deal, but I agree with everything else you said, broberg will be our no.1 dman in 2 years mark my words

all fair points, it was just a trade to get Larsson off the books so back to the drawing board we go

Why would Chicago trade for an ufa???

Pitt already has 2 goalies.

At that price Hamilton would sign in Carolina. Unless you're signing him and trading him to Carolina....

I had Larsson signed and traded so not a ufa, Pittsburgh has two bad goalies lol, and as far as Hamilton is concerned I'm speculating as I'm not sure what the cost will be in this climate, but Carolina has to sign svechinkov, dzingel, and grab a goalie with not much cap room and edmonton will have 24 mil in cap space in 2021 so I like their chances of getting him
