Description

Would never want to trade mcdavid - but this team would have great depth on the three fwd lines, upgrade in goalies and a pretty good depth on d (w broberg joining the next year).

Is it worth it? Does Florida say yes?

Landy is probably resigning in Colorado. So but if a pipe dream. But there is a few other good UFA LW available

Also leaves lots of cap space to sign a 4th line LW and resign oilers next season and beyond. 4th line could use some work still but this could be solved through ufa

Barkov is also a UFA in a year -- I don't see EDM trading McDavid for a guy that might walk in a year.

I was more looking at the pieces then the length of contract, assuming that each player in this trade would sign a new contract long term with the team acquiring them when the timing is appropriate/negotiating time.
