    dam thats tough

Losing Sandin and mikheyev would hurt the leafs in the future, but getting a year and a half of Forsberg to play with his pal Nylander and all star center Tavares could be worth it.

    Hyman-Matthews-Marner
    Foresberg-Tavares-Nylander

would be a sight to see

It's a 2021-22 trade. It would only be a one year rental.

    Otherwise NSH wouldn't do it.

Value's not bad, I don't see Toronto wanting to move Sandin for 1 year of Forsberg though. Leafs management loves Sandin, and with Rielly's contract coming up (same time as Forsberg's), Sandin is gonna have to play more minutes. I don't see Rielly leaving but the possibility is there. & they'd need to fill the spot with someone. Sandin would be a prime candidate for that spot.

Well, it wouldn't be the WORST trade Forsberg has been involved in...

But if TOR wants Forsberg at 50% retention, it starts with Robertson.

This would just be an updated Leaf trade for kessel..... though the leafs are in better position then they were in 09 and they are more than likely to be a top 3 team consistently if they keep playing like they are now

Because NSH needs forwards, or you think Robertson is better than Sandin? Opinions seem to be pretty split as to who the better prospect is.

Big question for the Leafs is whether or not they'll be able to re-sign Rielly after next season, and if that means they'll need to replace him internally. If they can't re-sign Rielly it might make more sense to deal Robertson than Sandin, although both make me uncomfortable. But that's probably a given in any reasonable trade for Forsberg.

I'm not sure what you're getting at, with the Kessel comparison.

Partly because I think Robertson has greater potential, and partly because LD prospects aren't a big need for NSH.
