Description

I proposed a Gibson trade months ago because I felt where the ducks are and where he is in his career are totally opposite spectrums. Even when/if they get good in years, he will be in his 30s and his value won't be as high as right now. I'm not shocked to hear him and his agent are 'concerned about the direction of the Ducks' lol

This narrative also forgets to take into account that top 3 goalies aren’t traded. Roy is the exception since he requested a trade.

Gibson is either 1 or 2 and he’s on the best contract of all goalies.

Hasek final year of contract. 37. Retired after the season. Tough to compare him to Gibson but if one season of him gets a 20 goal ~40point guy and a 1st, Gibson gets quite a bit. Not to mention that was 20 years ago so lots of things have changed in the game.
