What do we think the ceiling is for poehling

Tatar is a pending UFA so he is a negative for a rebuilding team. Poehling is not a top.prospect anymore after last season and it comes down to a 1st for Mantha. Bad trade for Wings because they do this it sets rebuild back. Rebuilding teams do not trade building blocks for pending UFA's l, ehh prospects and future picks.

If you wanted to get Mantha, it starts with a center like KK, and then Tatar to equal.off the cap, but futures makes zero sense.

But all things aside, I doubt Yzerman wants to trade him.

Not overpayment but not to attractive either to Detroit. Though Tatar is similar to Mantha (right now) but older. If he resign (btw he did play for Detroit in the past) I think this trade could be really good for them given the fact that Mantha is a cancer dog**** in the locker room. Poehling and picks are just there to give a somekind of insurrance to the deal pretty much

I don’t think Detroit is interested in trading Mantha. His struggles have been way overrated, there’s been no indication that he wants out, and Yzerman just signed him to a 4 year extension. If Detroit were to trade him it would have to be for multiple top prospects, or a top prospect + a 1st imo. Regardless, I don’t think Detroit trades him unless he wants out.

For the 1001th time this year, if Montreal wants Mantha then Detroit would want KK. I’d wager Montreal fans are going to hate that so I’d say we just aren’t great trading partners.

Poehling max is a 3C he will never be anything but a bottom 6 forward. He had one good game at the end of the season kind of like Hirose.

You can't call him "a cancer dog**** in the locker room" and still want him on your team. If you really thought that he was "cancer dog**** in the locker room" you wouldn't want him on you team. This is stuff you learn in middle school or at least high school.

Yes we know Tatar played I. Detroit. And we also know he wanted out and was traded away. And I have never heard he is a cancer, where did you hear that? He just has a maturity issue or he is tired of losing as many of the young players on this team feel. And Poehling and picks are not going to do it.

Rebuilding teams do not trade young good players for younger average ppl players and pi is. It only prolongs a rebuild and hurts causing problems, with the players and the fanbase.
