Would rather have Liljegren and a 2nd than that tbh but definitely one of the more fair Iaffalo trades so far.

Since Thornton is obviously still good, why would we waste assets? We don't need a top 6 forward and when Simmonds is back, he may fit in on the 2nd line and then Engvall can slide down to the 4th with Spezza and Boyd. We don't need to waste assets to get a guy we don't need.

It is a good idea but a 1st for a pending UFA is unreasonable

Yeah I would think we are okay. 6 of them should be in the top 6 so we are already pushing players into the bottom 6. I’m all for upgrading but I think if you do that you move out a guy like Engvall or vesey to upgrade.
