Lovoie was thier 2nd round pick last year....Samarukov is their next best D prospect behind Broberg, Jones is already a young NHL Player and a 1st....so 2 of their top 5 prospects and a first....might not be enough, but besides Broberg and Holloway, its their next best

Not sure the last time a goalie got traded for a 1st, 2nd(lavoie) a young NHL D already in the league as well as another top D prospect

Gibson hasn't been elite since 2018. Why would you trade 5 decent pieces for him?

See, this is the thing that makes me laugh. The Ducks have absolutely no reason to trade Gibby, unless it's for a significant overpay. That's the just of it. It's not like there's any reason at all to move him. D-prospect wise, the Ducks have a bunch. Offensively, they have a bunch of Lavoie-type guys as well. It really doesn't make any sense.

Gibson had a hot start and won a lot of games for the ducks that they shouldn't win. He has cooled off considerably now though. I would rather just sign 2 free agent goaltenders over the next 2 years and play the odds on getting a good one.

Why not sell high while he's playing amazing and has a great contract with term. Obviously Anaheim won't be looking to contend for at least 4 years and by then Gibson will be nearing UFA status. Lukas Dostal will be ready to play by then. I'm sure the asking price isn't as high as some would expect although a team would likely bid higher than this mock trade

I don't disagree with selling high, but it's got to be higher than this.

Huge overpay for Gibson, he is a good goalie but not worth selling the farm for him. Let the Ducks continue to fade into irreverence and waste all the good years of a decent goalie.
