I disagree. Bjork isn’t doing much. Montour would probably excel in the Bruins system. Urho is a good prospect for Buffalo. And Casey would probably be helpf being in a better hockey system with strong leaders. And Kase ain’t doing crap all with the Bruins. Maybe he can do something in Buffalo.

"Bjork isn’t doing much" Well, more than the entire 4th line here and Mittelstadt, who's an AHLer, not a top6 forward.
"Montour would probably excel in the Bruins system" Why? He isn't even good defensively, why is going to "excel"? And is also on his off side.
"And Kase ain’t doing crap all with the Bruins. Maybe he can do something in Buffalo" What a lazy take, Kase has played 19 mins this season due to his injury.

Mittelstadt has only played NHL games this year and has played well.

Which is a good start but he has only played 8 games this season. Considering his playing style, I would put him on the 3rd line but the Bruins have better options and he isn't a top6 player so I will pass.

Mittelstadt will become a sold top 6 player. 4 points in 8 games this year and has shown flashes of his ability. its not his fault he was forced to play as the 2C his rookie year

Sabre fan here.
You all have no idea how much Krueger has messed up this team.
Nearly everyone has suffered under his direction.
Just look at Skinner and Hall for proof of his coaching incompetency.
On to the trade, Casey plays fourth line minutes with third line players, and has 4 pts in 8 gms. he is playing better every day.
Montour is handcuffed, he would flourish in Boston.
Mittelstadt > Bjork
Montour > Kase and Vaakanainen
Mittelstadt has played only 8 games for lowest scoring team in the NHL yet only 8 Bruin forwards have more pts than he.
Put him on LW with decent centers and you will be very happy with him.
Kevin Adams somehow thought Taylor Hall would be a great addition when the team had Skinner who had only 2 fewer goals and Olofsson who had 6 more goals than he already at LW.
Only Ristolainen and Dahlin have a higher TOI than Montour and he has the best 5 on 5 SV% on the team of .931.
While that pales in comparison to Clifton's 0.953 it is very comparable to Zboril and Miller at 0.937 and 0.936 respectively.
Remember Buffalo has Hutton and Ullmark stopping pucks not Halak and Rask.

Buffalo needs to get a new coach.
Do you think Claude Jullien would come to Buffalo?

EDIT:
@Mwasylko34
Actually Casey played fourth line minutes with third line players his first year and still produced 3 line pts.
Krueger sent him to Rochester which may have been a good thing.
You are 100% correct he will be a solid mid 6 forward with possible top 6.
He along with the entire team needs a new coach.

I guess I will just agree to disagree and move on. Anyways, that trade isn't happening.

Did you read why I think Montour and Mittelstadt are better?
Montour is under rated and Mittelstadt is coming into his own.
Let me add Montour had the best +/- among all Sabres last year.
While some discount +/- when a player is the best on the team one should recognize that as an achievement.
Regardless you are correct that trade will not be made and we can agree to disagree.

I have absolutely zero guarantee in that and the Bruins don't have much more time for experiment and risky options. It's better to make a move for an established player, if a move is needed.
+/- is one of the most useless stat in the game imo and I have better ways to evaluate a player.

Montour does not have more value than Kase and Vaakaninen. He just doesn't. Montour plays 20m a night on the WORST team in the NHL and has bad numbers. He is Sami Vaatananen. Who was available well into FA and signed for 2m. Even Willing to concede he is slightly better. He is a rental whereas the Bruins will lose one of; Lauzon or Zboril to Seatlle (or Kase or Bjork).

People keep confusing the fact that -Vaak, Lauzon, Zboril aren't good because they weren't in the NHL. Fact is Chara and Krug were just ahead of them. The Bruins chose to move on knowing that they had, they didn't sign Vatanen or anyone else. They Signed Craig Smith.

Vaakanainen is 21 year old rookie who has 2 pts in 5 games vs montours 4 in 21. Vaakanainen is widely considered more shut down than offensive. Kase when healthy is a top 6 winger. No question. He struggled last year. I understand health is an issue, but the Bruins aren't going to dump. They traded for him because he is good. His advanced numbers are off the charts and he is elite defensively. He played 7 regular season games with the Bruins. 1 year ago, he was a 1st rd pick, He is young and still under team control.

MIddlestat and Bjork are similar in value, although I think Middlestat's ceiling is higher however... Bjork will currently do a heck of a lot more to help your team win now which is what the Bruins need. He hasn't developed like they hoped he would offensively, but he doing what he needs to do and being the primary PK on the best PK in the league. He has been unbelievable good in his role. Watching him, I have no idea why he doesn't produce, He is the exact type of player that leave and becomes a 50 pt player. Skill and speed are there. I am not trading him now, unless some team really values him. Because quite frankly and as of now Middlstadt is all draft slot and perceived potential. Bjork is substantially better defensively, the offense will come.

Bjork 129gp 15g 22a 37pts
Middlestadt 122gp 18g 25a 43 pts
