Buffalo doesn’t want Turris. They need players with size that go to the net, produce by deflecting pucks and screening goalies, protect their teammates, and deliver hits regularly. Got somebody like that that we won’t hate on a bad deal?

Yes the 3rd is the key part here. I dont think Sabres are gonna get a roster player that would make the team better. Just get some assets for the future cuz this isn't the year.

Yeah, if he didn’t have a terrible contract he would fit the bill. You’re not going to retain the 50% needed for the Sabres to make that trade. Khiara could be a piece that might be useful though.

Khaira I could see as part of a trade for a really established defensive specialist centre. But I wouldn't trade him to add another skill-focused guy like Staal. Khaira's dynamic as a PK specialist and grinder is too useful to send out and not replace. At the beginning of the season Khaira was useless, and I honestly don't know what lot a fire under him to get where he is now, but not something that should be taken off a potential playoff roster.
