Stop it with these trades. Give Lehtonen some time. Vehviläinen hasn't looked great in the AHL thus far, and is no where near NHL ready. Leafs already have Akhtyamov in the system.

Done deal, assume lehtonen asked for a trade. Nothing wrong with a new goalie prospect. They can be erratic.

Yeah IDK. I wasn't happy about the trade for Galchenyuk, but this could've been worse. Guy has decent stats in the WJC but has seemed to struggle in the AHL a tad.

If Lehtonen did ask for a trade, I don't blame him. Sitting in the press box watching Dermott get 1 point in 25 games while making questionable defensive plays must have been frustrating.

I think Dermott has been pretty solid, he took a lot of flak for the play last night but really what is he suppose to do. Guess he could have backed off into a 3 on 2 or possible 4 on 2. But it was played well by the forward to pin him to the boards.

In the long term...this isn't the best look for TOR. Lehtonen could have signed anywhere. The fact that things didn't work out isn't 100% on TOR. It's not 100% on Lehtonen either. It's a mixture, but for any Euro signing...it will be at least a factor to consider. Why not join a different organization with a proven track record or turning Euro's into proven NHLers.

I was really hoping Bogosian wasnt playing as much as he has but this kind of move was always going to be likely when you dont the guy play.

Just wait till the next game when we lose a LD to injury. Joking aside I wish we gave Lehtonen more of an opportunity. I hope he does well in CLB.

Vehvelainen as been up and down. He’s already 24 not sure I’d still call him a prospect. I will be disappointed if they give him a shot with the he Marlies over Woll and Scott.

I think Dermott has been below-average, I think if he wasn't another local-yokel player he would take more flak. We can agree to disagree on this.

Of course, this was the their bottom goalie prospect. But really I’m fine with that.
