That Ducks trade is a terrible idea for Buffalo.

Did you look at part 2?
Jokiharju has been scratched repeatedly this season and hasn't looked good when in the lineup. (Not that many have).
Maybe a new coach changes that but our best hope for Quinn is he turns into Rakell at this point so this is a safe trade.

Wild don't need d. Wild are the last team in NHL to be adding d. So absolutely no from Minnesota wild.

You would best serve trading Brandon m elsewhere

Put another team instead of wild

As much as I love Rickard Rakell, and think he's woefully undervalued on CapFriendly, and as much as I'd like to have Jack Quinn and Henri Jokiharju (not to mention another second), in all honesty I gotta say . . . No. Rebuilding teams shouldn't be trading with each other, because they both need futures.

I think Buffalo needs to "fill out" more than rebuild... that's where they can help each other

Jokiharju is not only 21, in a league where defenseman take a bit to develop, but is still a great defenseman. Yes he's been scratched a lot, but so has like half the sabres. Trading him for so low value, when he was great last year is stupid. Also our 8th overall pick, for a decent second line forward?

Firstly, Rakell is a top line forward. Arguably the only one the Ducks have. Secondly, half the Sabres haven't been scratched. Him, Skinner, Rieder and Miller are the only roster mainstays that have seen the press box. I completely agree that dmen develop later in their careers. If Rakell is being moved there will be a lot of value going back for a top line forward that isn't a rental.

Rakell is not a top line forward, he doesn’t even play on the top line in Anaheim. He’s produced one season at top level play and that was 3 years ago, especially when we’re so far away from completing, also Eakin, Montour, Mittelstadt, Thompson, and Cozens have all been scratched. Jokiharju is a young defenseman, that can be very good. It makes absolutely 0 sense to trade 8oa pick, Henri Jokiharju and a second for a deadline buy when we’re last in the league? Rakell doesn’t change this team at all, he’s a good second line winger, but that’s it
