I doubt the Sabres are anxious to make any more trades with the blues.

I’m no Hall fan and yes he’s struggled. But that isn’t doing it.

Don’t see Boston giving up a 1st for Dunn. 2nd and low end prospect maybe.

Loosely based on reports. Army was said to be asking a 1st for Dunn. The Athletic reported the price for Hall would be a 2nd and not a 1st.

Barbashev + Sanford is definitely more value than a 2nd.

It’ll be interesting to see where Hall goes if he does get traded

Blues were asking. Getting is another thing entirely. Toews got a pair of 2nds. Decent model to work with.

Pair of 3rd liners and a cap dump won’t get Hall. No matter how much he’s sucked this year.

Totally agree with ask vs get.

You have to keep in mind that most 2nd round picks never become full time NHL players. In fact it’s less than 25%. While 3rd line players aren’t super stars these are cost controlled and more valuable than most 2nd round picks

I'd say we're pretty even after the Ryan Miller trade

Hall is overrated. That's a lot of long-term value we'd be giving up for a playoff player who is having a down year.

No, we essentially handed you the Stanley Cup in exchange for your trash. You could give us Tarasenko and retain half his salary for a seventh round pick and we still wouldn’t be even.

1 player isn't handing us the cup. You got 2 mid level forwards and two draft picks. You've yet to see how the draft picks have played out but its a revolving door in buffalo. Players do not want to play there which is why the trade happened in the first place. O'Reilly was unhappy there and Buffalo needed to net a return for him, in essence it was a buyers market. And go figure you made Berglund quit. Now you're looking to move Eichel because management has no idea what they're doing. The Ryan Miller trade arguably cost us a cup, he never showed up and played.

Let’s break it down shall we:

Berglund never wanted to leave St Louis, and you used a loophole while he was updating his no trade list to send him here. He never wanted to come here. He quit before he even showed up. In fact, thank god he quit or we’d still be on the hook for that insane $3.25 million a year deal you gave him.

Sabotka was an overpaid 4th liner. He’s out of the league now for a reason.

Thompson was a mid level prospect that the Blues sold off as the key piece of the deal. He hasn’t developed, but you dumped him because you figured he wasn’t going to.

Sure, the 1st had value even when it dropped as far as it could. But that’s nothing when you consider the player you were handed in exchange for overpaid grinders who can’t skate, score, or even play. Team management has been pretty astoundingly bad, but god awful trades like this one set us back 5 years by itself.

And the Miller trade cost us a Cup. Miller was suppose to be the missing piece and he ended up playing worst than Halak who we traded to you. We also gave you picks in the process. we're even

Miller didn’t play well, but you didn’t play well in front of him either. Until the Sabres win a Cup with a key player coming from the Blues we’ll never be even, accept it. Stop being a sore winner.
