Description
Pretty straight forward... what is the asking price for Jake Debrusk?

Yes I know I’m way over the cap, moves would have to be made, and we’d have to see how Seattle expansion goes for us, but I’m just curious about the trade.

I don't think this gets a deal done with BOS, but I could maybe see a "change of scenery" deal with Virtanen+ for DeBrusk. I just don't really know how much, if any, trade value Virtanen holds right now.

And how does it help them now?

It would be JT Miller coming back, that is the only thing that makes sense for Boston.

Debrusk & 2nd for Miller. Maybe and additional piece like Bjork, Kuhlman or 4th next year or something.

You could probably get more from other teams, but the team control is a big thing. Not that 50-60pts is bad, but I don't think he is a 70pt+ player, and I don' think he would be on the Bruins. He just wouldn't get the ice time with that first line ahead of him.

Miller is a better player and more consistent, but they both have career high of 27goals. Debrusk's ceiling is a bit higher just based on raw skills. Debrusk is also starting to play a bit better recently.

Don't think Vancouver is giving up Miller for DeBrusk and 2nd + piece. How about DeBrusk for Hoglander and a second. Don't think they would do that but they asked what it would take so there it is.

Debrusk and a 2nd is no where close to JT Miller. They guy is ppg over the past 100 games and .8ppg over the past 4 seasons, plays wing or center, can kill penalties and play pp. Miller would need a top prospect and a 1st if it’s for futures or an impact player if it’s not futures.

Hi bhavikp27, simple answer - It doesn't help them at all for the current season. But I see it as a great move for the next season.

And to compensate this loss Bruins could make another move at the trade deadline such as Taylor Hall. What do you think of this idea?

Agreed JT Miller can play pretty much anywhere in the top six on almost any team in the league.

Boston would be looking for an upgrade on DeBrusk if they moved him. Boston is in win now mode, lateral moves and packages of futures are of no help.

They could simply trade him for something they need now instead of having to do two moves.
