I disagree. Hajek will be good replacement for Ekholm. Gauthier is quality depth piece and will probably put up better numbers with more minutes in Nashville. And the pick is just gravy.

Hajek is awful, Gauthier hasn't done anything at the NHL level to be considered "quality", and a 2nd is what it is. The asking price is already set at the Muzzin deal at a minimum, and this deal doesn't come close to that.

He has been terrible analytically for the past 2 seasons, in both offense and defense
I dont know how to link an image, but last year he had -7.3 xGF and 16.5 xGA, this year he has -11.9 xGF and 11.4 xGA. Not good at all.

Pretty easy no from LA. Swap Trouba and Strome for Zib and Fox, and you're closer to what it would take.

I think the bonus cushion is over $6-7 mil to prevent an overage penalty.
