Matthews for selke best two way guy in the league? NOPE. OT goal shows no effort to get back and get on his man. Ridiculous.

people ragging on him but he saved a goal in the second that was for sure going in bailing out his goalie. In general its very hard to defend in 3 on 3 hockey. Dont think anyone can say otherwise

dont know where it came from, yes matthews has gotten alot better defensively but hes not Bergeron level

He put in effort the entire game what are u blind, he literally tried to get back but Mcdavid is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL nobody is tying him up when he gets moving especially when its 3 on 3. Might as well be asking to be penalized if he tried.

Both were so far out of the play the hope is you get a stop and then turn it around fast and get a break the other way. 3 on 3 doesn't have defence. This is just ridiculous

Its ridiculous he doesn't get more credit for his defence. Stone is a top defensive player because he gets a tonne of turnovers and Matthews has had more for 2 seasons now and gets no credit. It's ridiculous
