Yeah the list of teams who can do it is pretty small. A team with ample cap space, owners who are ok taking a $2M gamble, a team who is not buying at the deadline, and likely not Canadian since they would have to wait two weeks and then another week of practice before playing. I wouldn't hate it for the Kings, but they would have to put another player on Waivers.

NYR doesn't actually have the CAP space since they need to cover the performance bonus overage for the ELC players.
