      Sharks definitely don’t deserve a 3rd for retaining 2 million dollars.

      The Red Wings literally just got a 4th rounder for retaining $1,062,500 on David Savard. That trade just happened like minutes ago.

      If $1,062,500 in cap savings costs a 4th, $2 million on Hall is very easily worth a 3rd if not more. Unfortunately that's the price you have to pay under a flat cap if you want Hall at a 75% discount.

      Why? Detroit just got a 4th for retaining $1 million. More retention = higher cost.
