Sharangovich: 17 points in 39 games
DeBrusk: 8 points in 27 games

Debrusk is on a better team and is still struggling. Sharangovich is on a worse team and is exceeding expectations

Im not sure how good Debrusk is defensively but he's probably not better than Sharangovich.

On the surface it seems crazy based on name recognition but the deal breaks down to a 4th for a .5ppg winger having a down year for a serviceable veteran defenseman that the devils still need, a rookie mystery box that’s just under .5ppg and a 3rd. The deal doesn’t make sense for either side

Im not sure how good Debrusk is defensively but he's probably not better than Sharangovich.


He's also 2 years younger and the only shooter on NJ's roster
