Flames Fans Will Be Disappointed with Slow Off Season

Description
SENS FANS: I know that Batherson may not be the piece to move but in terms of value it's a touch less than what the Flames gave for Hamilton in 2015, do you think it would be close? Is the value okay the piece just wrong?

I think that Sutter really likes Monahan and I also think that they try sign Gaudreau long term, there won't be the huge changes in the off season that people are expecting.

The expansion draft will usher in the biggest change in my opinion with Giordano heading to Seattle for a season to finish off his career. Other than that I think they chase a big UFA to play in the top six or I think that they will use their draft pick if it's in the 12 - 15 range to trade for an RFA similar to the Dougie Hamilton trade from 2015.

All in all I think that there is a very similar roster to this year with a new coach and a beautifully boring style next season.

I feel like Ottawa is past the point where they need to be accumulating draft picks. There comes a time when you have to actually add to your team, as opposed to selling over and over again.

Batherson is not available. Not even 1 on 1 for Gaudreau. This is coming from a neutral perspective so nothing is biased

sens dont need picks, we woud rather have our young NHL RW to make help make the transition into being an actual competitive team. Values fine, piece is not avaliable

The Sens aren't looking to be in a perpetual rebuild. The whole point of drafting and hoarding prospects is to turn them into impact NHL players, and that's finally what the Drake has become. Short of trading for Jack Eichel (which Ottawa should not do) there's no world where the Sens trade Batherson.

Also even from a value perspective I don't think it's fair. Maybe for a guy who is 26 and has plateaud as a 25ish, 50ish point guy (which is roughly what Drake is on pace for), that would be fair value. Drake is still only 22 (albeit only for another 12 hours) and I feel confident that he's still got a good amount to grow. I think he be a guy who regularly scores 30 goals, and 60+ points as a bonafide 1st line RW. He's just not a guy you give up on.
