I think the hype around kosk being terrible is heavily exaggerated he’s a good back up had one bad game. He doesn’t make highlight reel saves because he’s good at using his large frame to avoid putting himself in bad situations.
Hunter Miska who got 5 starts was 1-1-2 with a wait for it .838 save percentage and 4.16 goals against. The fact he made Dubnyk look like an upgrade should tell the story.
March 1 to April 24th, in 9 appearances he was 5-3-0, with around 2.15 GAA/.924 save%. Obviously those stats don't tell the whole story, but it was nice to see him play reasonably well for a bit.

He's been a reasonable .911 since Smith came back and he was able to get proper rest and practice time. He's fine as a 1B playing 40-50% of the games.

I’m not big on how they have been splitting the starts since smith came back i get ride smith at first kosk needed a week or so of rest but since then I woulda been rotating every game being a condensed season playing every second game would be as much time off between games as a regular season. I suspect the sharing use we have given him has resulted in an early goal against keeping him more engaged using more would result in better numbers but it’s hard to complain about giving smith more starts based on his play so it is what it is.
