I can’t picture Minnesota moving a probably selke finalist who’s finding his offensive groove in a trade like this.

Russo is a Wild hack. I remember 2 years ago he called Dumba off the table and a Norris candidate

The point would be to get Eichel to play WITH Ek as the top 6 centers, so yeah, I'm sure Guerin would more easily part with other valuable assets before giving up Ek.

He's one of the most plugged-in beat writers in the league. You can hate his character all you want, but when he says stuff like this his word is as good as the McKenzie's, Friedman's, and LeBrun's of the world.

And to be fair, that season Dumba was on fire. He was on pace for 30 goals prior to his season ending injury and was playing very well in his own end.

Nobody is saying Ek has more value than Eichel (except maybe one Wild fan on here). He's just too important to our team to trade, so unless it's a massive overpayment then he isn't going anywhere.

JaeE = Ek?

Stupid fans will. I do think Guerin would like to avoid giving up Ek because he's going to want 2 centers able to play in the top 6 and Rossi is still a mystery box. Same with Khovanov and Khusnutdinov.

Typo, was supposed to be JEE (hit "a" instead of the caps key).

I understand why you guys value Ek, he's a Backlund/Danault type player. Im simply saying Buffalo can get a better package yhan that

Depends on what other teams are willing to give up but in general I agree. I think he ends up on the Kings.

Kings have the assets but probably not the interest. Friedman said it yesterday on a podcast that he doubts LA is in the running and will probably stay their current course. If LA does make a bid though they definitely wont be offering Byfield. Turcotte is even a reach
