Why protect Coleman he's an UFA why not convince him to sign after expansion draft and protect say a guy on pace for 20 goals playing 4th line minutes

Would the sabers not want protect Skinner? Wouldn't they rather leave his contract unprotected and protect someone else. It's most likely that Seattle would't pick him due to his big contract

And would the Preds not protect Fabbro?

Adam Erne isn't happening Yzerman 100% protects him he's his guy, And why would Yzrman protect Djoos when he's going to be playing over in the swiss League for the next 2 to 3 years or so? I think Yzerman will protect Smith over Namestnikov and Svechnikov but that's just my personal take.

Just by seeing Krejci's personality over the years, i would be surprised if he signed in SEA. I cant see BOS not wanting to extend him and Hall after the way they've played, but anything can happen

Krejci is a free agent. Seattle is not taking him, he isn’t signing there, and Boston is not trading him to them. Zero chance he ends up there.

I think you went a little too old, but I like the thought process of getting guys trying to prove themselves again.

Skinner has a no movement clause, which means they have to protect him unless they convince him to waive it. I believe the three defensemen in Nashville also have no movement clauses, which would force them to protect those players and leave Fabbro available.

No. Neither Toews or Girard.

Do you honestly think Avs are goign to expose a top pairing Dman bc of Erik Johnson and his NMC while being hurt all season and all playoffs. Use some common sense here. He waives or is bought out. pretty simple

Anaheim will protect Troy Terry instead of Dan Heinen.

If Ryan Getzlaf decides to retire, Henrique would be our only experienced center, so we won't be paying Seattle the 98th overall pick to take him. We might leave him exposed, but we won't add to him.

I think Colorado will protect four defensemen because Landeskog and Saad are free agents and don't have to be protected; Sakic won't want to protect them if a deal isn't in place, and if a deal is in place, then why can't it be signed AFTER the expansion draft? I know a lot of Avalanche fans have a weird attitude about that, but I think that their team will stay together because all of their good forwards are committed to it.

That makes sense, I forgot about those NMC
