Since the Sabres are eating money on the deal you might need to add one more asset going back to Buffalo.

Why? BUF is already winning the trade for value?

You do realize sam reinhart has a career 36.4 faceoff percentage. When wild finished dead last in NHL@ 40 or little over 40 percent

Sam reinhart just isn't a complete c, &; isn't worth greenway, & dumba

Wild are keeping one of dumba or soucy

Wild aren't going to next year losing two top 4d

Dumba doesn't waive. For Buffalo either. I think a Reinhart to the Wild trade can work out though.

Makes 3 solid lines for the top-9 with Kaprizov/Zucc carrying Rask.

Reinhart played 22 games at center had had 13 goals and 6 assist. He's a legit two way center. .

Oh yeah I forgot dumba has like 10 team, or 15 team no trade in July.

That means/ makes all the sense in the world why Russo is now talking about dumba staying

Dumba's M-NTC doesn't kick in until free agency starts in early August, So if we were dealt at the draft he has no say if he winds up in Buffalo.

No his M-NTC wouldn't get in until free agency starts and that's July 28th i believe. So yeah Dumba can be dealt at the draft without his permission.

Not until the start of the new league year. Plenty of time to move him before that.

Reinhart played 22 games at center had had 13 goals and 6 assist. He's a legit two way center. .

Can we really use a short example though of a player having just 22 games experience

2 way c is used to describe offensively, & defensively.

Like Joel Eriksson Ek who 19G 11 assists for 30points, & +16

Joel Eriksson Ek is also a monster defensively. Ge routinely goes against other teams #1c's , & gives them trouble

I will never forget eichel punching Joel Eriksson Ek for playing defense, & costing his team 4min in the penalty box. Its was hilarious

Then this year so many opponents getting tired of Joel Eriksson Ek stuffing defense, they would slash him, sucker punch him, etc... nhl players especially offensively don't like defense being played on them; nor player like Joel Eriksson Ek crashing the net for rebound goal.

Anyway just a fun memory

I’ll counter with Risto (50% retained) and Reinhart for Dumba, Greenway, Rask, and 2021 first (lower of the two)

Buffalo sends Colin Miller and the Bruins second to Seattle to protect any Minnesota player

Yeah no. Wild don't need or want risto. Wild don't need to get rid of rask who has 1 year left, & take on worst player; contract in Risto

You aren't going to get dumba, & greenway together for reinhart; much less think wild are giving any pick especially a 1st round pick when greenway & dumba are already way too much for reinhart

Part of dealing Dumba is to get his money off the books to help with signing our RFAs and part of it is to clear room for our young RHD coming up in Menell and Addison. I understand why you're adding Risto into the deal, but we wouldn't really want him since he'd just be impeding our young guys who deserve a shot.

Rask is a placeholder in this scenario, you need a spot for Rossi and Rask is UFA next year. If Rossi is ready there are plenty of chances to trade Rask,

If Dumba is traded the Wild try to protect Soucy from Seattle but for this team he went in the expansion draft. Also, your definition of their top 4 is inaccurate. Soucy is #5 on this team currently. Guerin has work to do so he doesn't lose a key piece.

Their D core is going to be reshaped, he provides you a solid compliment to Dahlin. In my thinking Eichel was traded to an LA or Rangers for a prospect heavy return. They can't afford to take all futures back.

We'll see how the offseason plays out. More games like today from Greenway and he'll be unavailable, he was very good in the first playoff game including the assist on the game winner.

The Sabres had 5 dmen under the age of 24 starting for them at the end of the year. The d core has already been reshaped

Remind me how that went this year? Seems like you guys clearly have things figured out and there's probably no need to consider a different direction.

They went 9-11-2 with them and 2 ECHL goalies, they probably arent going to lay the blame on rookie dmen who played 10-15 games anyway
