I would imagine Kaprizov does a bridge contract. If he does sign long term, I'd imagine it more around 7.5 mark. I don't think Minnesota is gonna just give him 9 mil for 8 years so quickly. Although Nolan Patrick isn't worth what you are giving up for him at his current point, I could imagine the Flyers trying to use him as a trade piece or as a sweetener in expansion for the Kraken to take Voracek's gigantic contract.

Parise isn't waiving for Florida at all. Parise isn't going to waive his no movement to move, & this is exaggerating half a country away to Florida from his family, & kids

    Florida isn't a contender

    Parise isn't helping wild

Buffalo declines both. Dumba is not a positive value for Buffalo and he has an NTC starting in July

Philly probably doesn;t move Patrick for low round picks, in an under-evaluated draft.

Here's the problem with a bridge deal:

    - If we give him a 3 year deal, he's just reached UFA. Obviously a bad move,
    - If we give him a 2 year deal, he's still an RFA, but now he has all the leverage in negotiations. We have no power and if he wants out, all he has to do is elect to go to arb where we have to give him a 1 year deal then he's a UFA and gone.

Our options are a 1 year deal or long term. We can give him a 1 year contract to make sure he's legit, but if he has another great year or does even better, his price keeps going up. It's a slight risk going long term, but Kirill just turned 24 a couple weeks ago so even on an 8 year deal, he'd only be 32 at the end of it. We'd be out of the deal before he starts to fall off too much.
