Avs are in another league and Mcguire sucks

Description
I can give to caesar what belongs to caesar, Colorado are a hockey machine, fast, physical and very very complete. I don't see who can beat them in a best of 7.

Im not usualy throwing rocks at people but good god Pierre McGuire is painful to hear.

I think the blues are trying to emulate the Avs and it's 0 working. Stl have lost their identity. Players don't buy in. You can't play a hit and grind game with players that do not hit or like to hit. You can't play a fast game with slow players. And you can't play the trap if you can't defend well.

Tarasenko isn't the 1/8 of what he used to be and I hope he will come back stronger next year and hope the best for him, but this year it's a big zero. I don't even think that the other teams talk about him in their game plan.

On D, Krug is good but not a 1st D, neither is Parayko or Faulk.

Scandella is not worth is contract and Bortuzzo can be useful sometimes but he's a 7th-8th Dman at best.

I know everyone love Kyrou, and his value is pretty high but I think that if they can move him to retool, its a good idea.

What Buerbe us doing is playing with fire, how the fwds are forechecking and looking to take big runs looking for hits, he’s allowing the avs defense to activate

Best transition and zone exit team in the league, giving the avs dman Weakside outlets, it’s why avs have had so many odd man rushes

This is what happened to the flames 2 years ago, allows the avs to wind up and attack with speed through the neutral zone at will

Yeah but STL are even too slow to forecheck ang get good licks on Avs player. Colorado are always in movement

First, stop trading Kyrou. We get it, you don't like him.
Secondly, you say don't have a number 1 d so you trade pieces (which Vancouver probably doesn't accept) for another non 1D? Hughes isn't a great defender.
Third, Girgensens isn't even playing. Why pay that much? Buffalo should have to pay to get anyone to take that contract.
Fourth, let me say, I do agree that the Blues need toughness and more physical players. This has been their downfall the last two seasons.

It also would help if the refs actually called a d*** penalty against Colorado instead of hiding their whistles. Just elbow, Kadri's antics, Mac's Pic on Barbashev, all penalties

Mackinnon line has been eating the ROR line alive so far in shot share, it wasn’t until blues stopped that match up mid point in the 2nd that they had life, wonder if they try it again in the 3rd

This is where coaching actually matters, buerbe has to adjust or the series won’t last long

It's the same guy who always says "Peter-angelo" for Pietrangelo so it's not surprising

Its not that I dont like Kyrou, but what does he bring to the actual system of the team? He's the little black duck. He's the only fast player on the team. He's a very good hockey player, but I dont think he's fitting in STL system. Better to trade one than the whole team. Fixing the left wing spot on the top line would be my priority and Hyman would fit very well. You do not need to fix what is right, but whenk broken you got to do something. I don't think Thomas and Kyrou can thrive both on the 3rd. Blais when on his game, is perfect for the 3rd line. I know I tradr Kyrou a lot lol but he have a big value. I would at least look for the market for him.

Our dman are super slow, having some speed would not be a bad thing. Im looking forward to see Perunovich play.

Thomas is pretty darn fast. Blues certainly aren't the fastest team, I agree, but you're watching what the Avalanche does with speed. Kyrou, Thomas, and Parayko are the only ones who can even keep up with them. Blues need more size and physicality.

It is so, so, so brutal. I can't wait for the NBC deal to expire, just so I don't have to listen to him anymore.

As long as he doesn't get hired by ESPN (which I'm still not happy they're going to ESPN). I know they were hiring Ray since he works for TSN.

We need Tarasenko back to form cause right now he's losing every battle and if he had the puck 5 total minutes this entire season it wouldn't surprise me. He's not better than a 3rd liner now

Yeah I know and I wish him thd best, health first. It might take time to get back to full form (if it happens) but it's normal after all the time he missed. The need him badly

Heh. That's cool coz the Blues would never offer that. Because as we all know, the best way to "retool" is to trade your best young, cost-controlled players.

Blues would probably not make that offer but for different reason you seem to think. It's because Armstrong knows better than making such an insulting offer.

That being said, I don't think Blues would benefit from acquiring a player like Hughes. They need more defensive assets that offensive at this point.

It's not an insulting offer at all. No GM accepts the first offer they receive for a player and as far as first offers go, this is pretty darn good.

That stated, Blues wouldn't do this partly because of what you said about not needing another player like Hughes. Blues have a young guy who Perunovich who could possibly step into that role.
Blues need defensive help but also need help on offense. They should go for a power forward type player (like Miles Wood) to play with Kyrou and Thomas.

It's offering potentially a Seattle bound D-man, a prospect who's finally starting to find himself and a low mid first in a weak draft.

That's a package you offer to bring an immediate short term strengthening in, like Gaudreau for instance - not a top class offensive young D-man that has potential to be top10 of his position or even higher than that. Hughes had more points during his rookie year than Kyrou has managed throughout his career thus far.

I don't get why everyone say a weak draft. It's a very good draft without generational player and every pick can be a steal with the amount of game scouted. It's not a weak draft
