I wouldn't give Armia that contract. I think that turns into the next Sutter, Beagle, Roussell contract pretty quickly.

I don't hate the Oilers trade, but I think it will take some time before Virtanen gets traded. Once everything starts to clear (good or bad for him) then there will be trade possibilities.

I can see that . Jake can easily be bought out the cap his is easily doable . If any team wants him they can have him next to nothing. or nothing at all.

I think Kerfoot will definitely be someone the Canucks check in on. Hope the price is low for him.

Aren't you the guy who has been going around telling everyone that Benning isn't trading draft picks to get rid of salary? What happened there chief?

As a Detroit fan I'd say take out one of the picks and Detroit still says yes. Eriksson has a single season left and Detroit could use an NHL LDH under 30.

Yup but the GM came out last week change of plans this year. Just keeping up with the changes. For the record I would let the contracts run out and keep the draft picks. I am not one of the fans screaming at the sky.

Yeah you guys are still real young so patience is the way to go but your fan base is ridiculously impatient. Makes your GM's get squirrely every now and then.

Our fan base is unbelievably impatient and very vocal . They don't realize that with their lunacy they drive away any potential hockey people from voluntarily coming here.

Yeah I feel like your fans live too much in the moment and can't see the bigger picture. I mean you've got some amazing young pieces (I'm Jealous) but you've just got to hang on until the puzzle comes together.

We do have great pieces and still very young. I was a big fan of the Seider pick you guys got . I was hoping he would have lasted till #10 but that did not happen. We ended up with Podkozin who looks to have developed nicely.

Yeah I desperately wanted Zegras with that pick but Yzerman pulled a rabbit out of his hat. I think that was him learning his lesson (not drafting Seth Jones). Really can't wait to see Podkolzin! Followed him quite a bit before the draft. If the offense comes at the NHL level he could be something special.

Zegras Stutzle and Podk were the standouts for me at the World Jrs. Det is getting a special player with Seider.

Yeah not getting Stutzle still pisses me off after having to endure that awful season. Podkolzin looked NHL ready to me. I mean has he gotten even bigger? The things Seider did in the SHL this year are incredible so I'm just trying not to get too excited but yeah I agree; he definitely looks like a first pairing guy and possibly even a number 1.

That's hopeful thinking, I doubt we have to dump Kerfoot's contract. He had an off year production wise, and unless we go after a large free agent we have the cap space to replace/resign our UFA's, ESPECIALLY if we don't resign Andersen.
