Trading Fiala

Created by: MNBassman

Initial Creation Date: May 24, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Fala has been working his butt off trying to create offense in this series, but has almost no NHL-caliber help on his line. The way I see it, either Boldy (or someone else) needs to quickly develop into a top 6 forward, put Fiala permanently on a line with Kaprizov, or package him in a trade for a center...
For the record, I want to keep Fiala, but also feel he is the most realistic piece for the Wild to put a package around to get the center they need.
If you have a good fit for Fiala and the Wild, please share your trade idea here.
In this scenario, Barkov agrees to an 8 year/$76million extension with the Wild.

Im not sure about the value here - some of it will depend on how the ping pong balls roll... Im doing tjis trade considering the Philly pick is #12 and the Pitt pick is #25.
Basic breakdown: Dumba for Brink, Khovanov and the 25th for the 12th. Am I even close?

Have they tried Kaprizov and Fiala together even once?

Right idea for MIN to look for a C, but Barkov isn’t going to be available and that package outside of Fiala is not exactly exciting.

I think it’s only plausible if Florida cannot sign Barkov.
But Minnesota is able to get him at $9.5m x 8 years, but Panthers could not?

And then do Eichel instead to make it realistic.

Why are wild trading for Bobby brink, winger prospect? Wild should just keep fiala, boldy, & Adam Beckham

2) by trading dumba, wild losing soucy too; two top 4 dman in one off-season for a Winger prospect who matt boldy is more ready than

With wild needing c's, u are trading a possible top c prospect in Alexander khovanov to just get a winger prospect?

Losing that much winger depth, & good young wingers is really bad idea

A 25th 1stt round pick, & 12th 1st round pick in this year's draft is essentially the same

I'll say it again...Barkov might be one of the most untouchable players in the league

Yes, but the problem is that the other team only has 1 line to defend then. It puts all our eggs in 1 basket. Sure the Greenway/Eriksson Ek/Foligno line can put up some offense, but their main job is to be our main shutdown line.

I’d agree with most of what you said, but Khovanov is not a top prospect anymore. He hasn’t even been able to keep up with the KHL Bars club, and got demoted down a league. On top of that, his reputation is that he’s difficult to coach. His value is very very minimal.
