Bring in the big guns

Created by: RoyBoy
Team: 2021-22 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: May 24, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Now as for the Eichel deal, there is more to it than you think. Yes, we trade Parise to them, but they flip him to the Islanders. The deal between Buffalo and NYI is listed below (NOTE: this trade is after the Expansion Draft, and the Islanders don’t give up any of their cap dump players along with picks to Seattle)

BUF: Andrew Ladd, Leo Komarov, Thomas Hickey, Cal Clutterbuck, 2022 1st (Top-15 protected) (Sabres buy out Komarov and Hickey)

NYI: Zach Parise (50% retention), 2021 3rd (MTL)

Sabres will have room to do this, as they rebuild in the off-season, getting value out of Risto, Reinhart, and others with higher cap hits (or in Sam’s case a guy that will make a good chunk of change)

I was going to say Sabres pass, but then i read the description and it made the Sabres trade 1000% times worse. The Sabres move Parise with 50% retention, with a 3rd, for 2 buy outs and 2 cap dumps, so they can get an extra 1st (thats top 15 protected). Why would they consider that in any capacity

Is Minny really okay with letting Dumba go to Seattle for free?

WE ARE NOT GIVING BUFFALO OUR TOP 3 PROSPECTS!!!

THERE IS NO SCENARIO WHERE WE GIVE UP MORE THAN ONE OF THE THREE.

EICHEL IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH!

We really shouldn't be. Top Pairing RHS OFD don't just grow on trees. No one carries as much value as him for further moves.

Minnesota doesn't need or want a really bad d player like Rasmus R like no just stop. . To think wild would give up anything for a bad player, & negative cap is kidding yourself

Wild aren't trading Marcus foligno or connor dewar . Just stop. Aj Greeg isn't good either . To think wild would trade a good young c / w prospect like connor dewar, much less lockeroom leader, & beloved leader / player like Marcus foligno who they just resigned to 3 years extension starting next year is not happening

Wild aren't going to pay to get rid of parise, & he isn't waiving or taking the chance if going to buffalo

Wild aren't going to let dumba be exposed for nothing

To think wild would give up all those assets is just not happening

This whole proposal from Montreal/ Vegas fan is hilarious. If I didn't know better, I would say it's trolling

Sorry to be harsh, but this is some of the worst GMing I've seen. It is actually bad for all teams involved.

Yeah like Yzerman is retaining on Boone Jenner for a garbage 6th round pick. No GM is retaining on a player for a low pick.
