Description

Not sure if everyone is seeing through the same glasses that I am looking through or not. But our team is terrible as they stand right now. Our defence is slow and our older forwards are not contributing at all. I see a lot of different and crazy moves on this website. Couple are signing Danault and Tatar to multiple years and money averaging between 4.5 to 6million a season. I believe that the Habs would be better off going with youth and move speed and grit then what they are offering the team in this point of their careers. Geoff Molson has to relieve MB of his GM position and hire a GM that can rebuild this team from the ground up. Gerard Gallant has head coach, he demands grit and effort every night. Carey Price should be offered the choice of staying or being traded to a cup contender. Shea Weber should be offered a trade as well ,his choice. Montreal can eat 50% of both contracts to keep money on the books while we develop our youth.

Yeah but yeah but NO. No reality involved here at all.

Even with that retention you'd be lucky to get a couple of picks for Price and definitely won't get Newhook and Kaut.

Petry has a partial ntc. Can block trades to 15 teams.
Price's contract, age etc is its own NMC and even at 50% that trade is ridiculous.
Gallagher has a 6 team ntc clause.

Gallagher and Perry can be traded. Price?? Not without significant retention and probably compensation going the other way...

FFS that Avs trade is ridiculous. COL might give A 1st on Price for 50% retained but there isn’t a planet in the universe where you get that package.
