Description
Graves trade is hated by this community, not sure why. I think he's exactly what we need on D because we aren't trading our first pick. Suter was good but Stan likes trading these guys and we have a surplus of forwards, some younger than suter not that I dislike suter. Keep Zadorov and let the young d-men mature a bit more which can't hurt them. big package of nothing to get out of connolly's deal, though I'm not down on him, just his deal and love Nylander. trade de haan for anything.

"hyman stays in Toronto for that much" posts will be coming so be ready

Not down on Graves but he's definetly not a #1

Strome is much more likley to be traded than suter imo, not to COL specifically just in general
OldNYIfan and CannaHawk liked this.

Fire Colliton? Yes. Letting players just pick and choose practice participation when your in the hunt seems mind blowing to me. Send him back to Rockford.

Suter goes to CO and succeeds greatly in this trade making Bowman look like a fool again in CO trade. So probably not happening. Also Strome and Suter should be held onto. Center depth is there. So keep it. Draft Chibrikov and pray for Michkov in a few years lol.

Literally every team in the league was skipping practices due to an obscene amount of GP to finish the season. Hawks played every other day from the end of Febuary until may and there was only 3 times they had more than a day off between games you may as well oust yourself as a clown now if you would really fault Colliton for something every coach was doing. Also causually ignoring that Q had way more optional practices when they didnt have to deal with a compressed season such as this

Did Q bench boss his team to the playoffs? Did he bench boss the Panthers further than the hawks? Let’s not question the greatest coach as evidence instead let us question the obviously less able coach Colliton on how voluntary practices are a bad idea when the team is clearly getting whooped and the system needs adjusting. Cant make adjustments in game. Q’s system worked. Colliton’s does not. Argue the practices if ya want and defend Colliton. See how far that gets you.

Not the worst offer I've seen for Graves as Suter is at least XD exempt. Upping it to a second might get it done.

I think theres a lot of kickback on the Graves idea because of the fact he's not a #1D and the previous Zads trade. He may benefit the COL system but the Hawks D system need time with the young corps however I think it also needs to be tweaked.
