Description

Tampa Bay will most likely want to re-sign Savard and to do so, as well as re-sign their other UFA's, they most likely need to drop someone like Cernak as he plays on the right side as well. This is all based on the hopeful plan that Benning doesn't re-sign Edler, great player but too slow + old

Bolts fans have an insane ask on him - largely because they see no reason to trade him (which is fair).... but I can say for sure that this is on the other end of the scale: not enough to get him.

Cernak for a 2nd is a joke lol. Hes worth atleast a first possibly more, young, big, physical defencemen has playoff expierience and has gotten the chance to play with hedman and learn from him. Cernaks value will be very high. Knowing benning to he would probably trade boeser, rathbone, lind and their first this year for cernak

Tampa can't afford to trade Cernak. They'll need him next season when Hedman is on LTIR after he has his surgery. Not being sarcastic. He really does need surgery.

Thing is he's cheap and good. Two things that Tampa needs. Add the fact he's a RHD and an RFA at the end of this contract, yes it would require an overpay to get him.
