Honestly I feel the pens need to try and make a MP for Wood trade happen, I just think Wood fits Sully speed system and Burke and Hextall will like his size. Also they I feel they should target either Coleman or Goodrow in free agency.

I would love Wood honestly! I think he would be a great addition to the team.
The reason I dont acquire him is because I sign Goodrow. I honestly think the Pens should do everything they can in order to sign Coleman or Goodrow.

Marino definitely need to be protected. His ELC is up.

He is exempt from the expansion draft. All first or second year pros are.

I dont think the wild trade works. Were not ready to move on from Marino, hes still young and has potential to be a really good defensemen. I like the idea of getting Greenway though. Pens should definitely make a move for wood with a trade centered around Pettersson for Wood. I also like the thought of bringing in Goodrow or Coleman. Overall the ideas aren't bad, but the pieces we are moving are to valuable.

I may be in the minority with this but I don't know if I want pens to bring back ZAR. I liked McCann with Geno and Kappy and assuming McCann is not traded or taken by Seattle he did play ok next Carter. That would leave a possible free agent to fill the 3rd line wing and or Tanev, and if ZAR and Tanev are not on the same line ZAR disappears offensively. I would like to see either Zohorna or Angello on the 4th line.

So you think ZAR is traded? He is an RFA, so we own his rights. Unless you think we do not qualify him and allow him to become a UFA.

Ya trade him for either a mid to low round pick or let him walk. He is so great defensively which might help him ask for a bigger deal than what he just had but if he asks for anything more than like 2.5 then definitively got to trade him

I don't think MN makes that trade. GMBG's big trade was for Addison. With both Spurgeon and Marino signed for long term it just blocks Addison or if he pushes someone down makes for a very expensive 3rd pair RD. I think the long term plan is for Addison to take Dumba's top-4 spot after the 22-23 season. Dumba's contract ends, and so does Addison's ELC at that time.

I like the concept of the trade.

I’m pretty sure he is arbitration eligible. So if the pens don’t sign him to what the arbitrator says is fair, then he becomes a UFA. Obviously we can trade him before that but if teams don’t get access to talk an extension before the trade, the pens might not get as much for him.
