I don't see Flames trading Gaudreau unless he doesn't have a contract by TDL 2022

None, because it doesn't make sense for rebuilding teams to go after high priced tickets.

Anaheim need a Center desperately. It would be huge to have a high impact Center to pair with Zegras going forward.

Gotta think it’s a Eichel and only a C, I don’t think adding more wingers for a high cost is useful for ANA.

Reinhart. Goal scorer. Can play in the middle. Eichel will cost too much.

Just stay as far away from Laine as possible please.

That's actually false. At some point in a rebuild teams have to realize that they need to insert a high talented player to help things progress. You don't win without the elite skill. Anaheim's not in a full rebuild anymore. They've passed the stage of moving players just for picks and prospects and they're at the point where they need to surround the talented young players they have with a complimentary high skilled player to help them produce for confidence. Anaheim is certainly at that stage and they're pursuit of Dubois this past season clearly says that. You have to realize that this draft doesn't have many high end prospects at all, and Anaheim is likely too high up in next years draft for the higher talent.

Given that they were interested so highly in Dubois and the fact that Zegras is likely a future centre, I could see them going for a player that plays centre but can shift to the wing when needed. Sam Reinhart is a name that fits that and he's unhappy in Buffalo so he may come cheaper than normal. I think Robert Thomas could be a sneaky under the radar guy that might be available this summer, not the highest skilled player but could use a change of scenery and has top 6 potential and he fits the mold of a centre that can play wing. If they look for a straight winger to play with Zegras, could be a guy like Conor Garland, or Filip Forsberg, or re-visit a Patrik Laine deal, or someone like that.

But to straight up say that a team shouldn't look to acquire good, talented players because they weren't good this season is false. If anything it's more reason to go out and get better players. But then again, you are a Wings fan so I can see why you're not used to acquiring good talent within the last decade. Sorry but not all rebuilds take 10 seasons like your teams.

Yeah, I'm sure, but I doubt Devils would move him unless Drysdale were on the table.
Call me homer, but I think he has makings of a star.

Marner and Eichel would cost us too much.

Seth Jones, Johnny Gaudreau and Sam Reinhart are short-term rentals.

Laine strikes me as troublesome.

I wouldn't mind Nylander.

The question is, what would we use for ammo? We have either assets that are untouchable (2021 and 2022 first-round draft picks, Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale and John Gibson) or assets that don't have much trade value (pretty much everyone else except Max Comtois).
