I think the addition is on the wrong side, I also think Calgary has too much of Guentzel like players and not enough Tkachuk right now.

Teams should also be weary spending a premium on players that have spent so much time with Crosby, not that Guentzel isn't a great hockey player but he is not the player he is if he was playing with Sean Monahan his whole career.

Just one of Pgh Pens radio guys wrote an article saying the Pens should trade Guentzel if they were to get a Tkuchuk brother back.

It’s not gonna happen. Doubtful either the Sens or the Flames make that trade and doubtful the Pens even consider trading Guentzel.

It was an article written just about an option. No inside info or anything backing the claim. He was just starting if it was option, the Pens should do it. Or try to do it.

But nothing was ever mentioned satiating any of the teams would even consider it or talked about it.

Yah, but scoring goals means a ton. Over the last 3 years only 9 players have more 5v5 goals. You don't trade away elite shooting talent on a bargain contract.

Tkachuk is a 35 goal scorer and is younger and has a much more well rounded game

Mark Madden isn’t perfect but he’s smarter than 95% of the people that watch hockey in this city. Guentzel is overrated by our fan base
