Kane is worth much more than that,and Pettersson is not much of an upgrade for the Kings on the LD.

I don't think any of the trades were too egregious, but why is Kane on the 4th line?

I mean it would be definitely a risk... but if it pays off it could be a huge opportunity to add lots of goals, good pk and much needed size




i don't necessarily think so... maybe add another pick but not much more... and petterson is an upgrade he's not bad but just inconsistent, plus with the expansion draft you don't know (and he is much better then guys like maatta and others)

Kane is a 30 goal scorer who calmed his penalties and had a great year. He’s not on the trade block, he’s not getting half retained, and we aren’t taking some spare parts and a cap dump for him. Whole proposal is seriously one sided

maybe but also your assessment of the trade is. a level B prospect plus a 3rd plus a dmen that would be a regular in your lineup... maybe it doesn't get you kane but adding another pick would get it done... sharks are really closer to a rebuild than you think

No they arent, because the GM has said many times he’s not rebuilding. And if they were, why would we ever consider this deal? Kane doesn’t even have a terrible contract. Many teams would offer far better deals than this for a consistent 30 goals added to their team.

Sharks can throw in a couple of 1st round picks. Just drop the picks/prospects on PITs end and we'll trade for "future considerations".

Not that I want him in Pitt, but Kane has been chased out of two teams so far, and has so many off ice issues, that if the Sharks don't mind paying him $7M per than so be it. I don't think any other team wants to pay that cancer anywhere near that amount.
