1 major flaw basing the paul trade to the Goodrow trade is and jbb said so he was willing to pay the heavy premiums on Goodrow and coleman because he had both locked up for 2 playoff runs. Paul wouldn't.

He's a pending UFA and if he doesn't sign an extension by next year's trade deadline, he needs to be traded.

Especially if Ottawa is not making the playoffs next year.

Setting aside that there's a good chance nobody is going to do that, I'm pretty sure you mean to say lowest odds. Highest odds are the crazy longshots.

That has nothing to do with the topic of this post FYI.

The Vegas trade is fine, but they didn’t struggle killing penalties this year. They had the #1 PK in the NHL during the regular season. It was great in Round 1 as well.

They have struggled maybe the past 7 games. And they’ve won 5 of them.

So I don’t really see them using that much cap space on him to play 3C

No, I meant to say highest odds.

                The title speaks for itself.

You probably said the same thing about Montreal wanting a 2nd + for Scandella.

                But then it happened.

Edmonton needs depth and I’m not against adding a centre to play on the wing but I don’t see this as a fit or type of player Edmonton should be pursuing

                I think its Vegas?

Theyre not a ***** GM afraid to make moves (EDM), and they're a team willing to spend money. The retention helps with VGK being up against the cap already

DeBoer coached him in SJ as well

You probably said the same thing about Montreal wanting a 2nd + for Scandella.

                But then it happened.

Actually, I openly repeatedly predicted the Blues would trade a 3rd for Scandella well before it happened. So I was close.

                Sure, Jan.

I do find it adorable you had to use two qualifiers back-to-back (openly repeatedly) to make your point though grin
