I cant imagine the Jets are going to give up Dubois for Rielly unless there is an extension in place, and even then I doubt the Jets are going to give up on Dubois yet.

The isles aren’t trading their best winger to get rid of player who’s on LTIR

-WPG needs D, we need some offence. Saying goodbye to Rielly is tough but the Leafs likely won't be able to re-sign him. Dubois is a perfect fit due to his versatility - he can play LW in the top 6 or as the 3C to stack the team down the middle, pushing Galchenyuk back to the wing.
-The Islanders are a budget team in cap hell. Swapping out Beauvillier for a cheaper Mikheyev may be a necessary move for them to clear a massively expensive Boychuk contract off their books.
-Do Getzlaf and Perry want to team up again for a cup run? I hope so. The cheap veteran strategy didn't work out this year with Thornton and Simmons but it's still Toronto's best option to fill out the bottom of the roster due to cap constraints.
-While Reimer isn't good enough to be a full time starter, he's proven in CAR that he can give you a good 20-25 games. Exactly what Toronto needs behind Campbell.

Understandable, may have been overly optimistic on my part. Maybe they listen if the Leafs sweeten the pot further. Beauvillier would be such a great fit on this team.

Every team declines with the exception of CBJ. Of that I have ZERO doubt.

The isles aren’t looking to trade Beauvillier, but it would start with nick robertson for the isles to entertain it

The islanders are a budget team? They are also not in cap hell, they have multiple players with value that they can move this offseason.

The Jackets might also decline; we have no particular need for Engvall.

Change Boychuk to Ladd, Beauvillier to Bellows, and I'd do it.

You are probably right. Bottom six wingers are a dime a dozen and Engvall actually makes 1.25 million dollars.
