Every single bit of this is utterly terrible for the Jackets. The UFA signings, the lineup arrangement, the trades, the philosophy behind them (tanking is how one destroys teams and I have no desire to have us become Buffalo/Edmonton 2.0)... everything. Kill this with fire.

yeah, that's kind of a no-brainer for the Blackhawks. . . . I mean, I'd be resigned to chicago losing their 2021 #11 pick in a trade for Jones. I would think a down-to-the-studs rebuild would start with Columbus demanding that pick. It might be something like Boqvist + Strome + 2021 1st + 2022 1st . . . from the Blackhawks standpoint, I would have more of a problem making such a trade.
